For every election since our inception, the CCFR has been an active, registered 3rd party political advertiser. Thanks to the support of our members, the CCFR was able to effectively execute a nationwide political ad campaign (TV, digital and online targeted advertising) during the 45th general election including running TV ads during NHL Stanley Cup Playoff games. Even though we did not get the outcome we wanted, the CCFR showed up when it mattered most and put our member dollars to good use. When final reporting was completed, the CCFR was the
7th largest 3rd party political advertiser in terms of money spent for all of Canada in the 2025 federal election. This was in stark contrast to other pro-firearm organizations who watched from the sidelines (
