This is a RED ALERT!!! The Canadian firearms community is at a critical junction when it comes to the gun bans and confiscation program. Right now, in Ottawa, Liberal politicians and policy people are working overtime trying to figure out how to get the "buyback" confiscation program for individuals up and running. This means confiscating your guns and destroying them. If this happens, we'll never be able to get back what we've lost.

RIGHT NOW - there is something you can and must do to prevent this. You can personally participate in this project. You can stop what is about to happen and we're going to lay it out for you in detail.

First: watch this video right to the end.

Step 1: If you're in a Liberal riding, contact your MP's constituency office (not the Ottawa office). This is critical and time sensitive. The House of Commons will resume on September 15th so you MUST act on this now before they return to Ottawa.

If your MP is a Liberal, click on their profile and look for their "CONTACT" information. Example below:

Click on the "contact" tab and look for the CONSTITUENCY office (not their Ottawa office).

There should be a phone number and an address there. Call their constituency office and request a meeting with your MP. If you don't receive and response within 2 days, call again. Still no response? Consider going to the address of the constiuency office. Be polite but persistant. These people work for us, not the other way around. Don't give up until they give you 15 minutes of their time. Be polite, professional and calm. This is vitally important.

Get that meeting!!

Step 2: Print out the "Grandfathering Policy" document and make an extra copy to leave with your MP. Below are both the pdf and word versions, with all reference of the CCFR removed. Treat this paper as yours, because it is. Read it over a few times and get familiar with the policy, ideas and language presented.

Step 3: keep the meeting short. Don't harrass them, or go on forever. Just make sure they understand what you're talking to them about and ask them to spend some time reading the policy. Make sure you leave a copy with them - extremely important.

Step 4: Get familiar with why this makes all the sense in the world for the Liberal party. This provides them an "out" on an embarrassing and divisive policy from the Trudeau era. This costs taxpayers nothing and gives gun owners a reason to have faith in the system again, all while NOT damaging public safety.

Below is an excerpt from the document detailing the benefits of adopting grandfathering. These are the most important points to make with your MP:

• Reduce the number of what the government considers “assault style” firearms in Canada over time.

• Reduce the anger and division over what is considered grossly unfair and prejudicial among licensed gun owners.

• Allow control over property that has been safely and legally possessed, in some cases for many decades by individually vetted and licensed Canadians.

• Entirely eliminate a significant and open-ended unfunded liability at a time where Canada can least afford it.  Given the current economic pressures, a program with potential cost escalation of this magnitude and data driven evidence that shows it will not achieve any material impact to public safety, presents an significant negative risk to the reputation and legacy of the current Canadian government.

• Entirely eliminate sidetracking countless law enforcement resources across an immense geography during a time of unprecedented criminal violence in Canada.  This is about directing the limited law enforcement resources available to the real problem of illegal firearm smuggling and the criminals that use them.

• Help restore the social contract and relationship between firearms owners and the government and between firearms owners and law enforcement.

Step 5: Send this link to your club executive or your favourite store, or your entire mailing list. The more people who do this, the better the chances that it works. Ask your club or store to send it to their entire mailing lists too!! Get talking to everyone who will listen and ask them to do it as well.
